Our cattle are Hormone and Anti-Biotic free

Our cattle are born and raised by us at our farm.  They graze on our beautiful pastures in Freedom Township, MI during the summer and eat our home grown hay and haylage in the winter months.

Lower in overall fat and saturated fat

Higher in omega-3 fats (found also in flaxseed, fish, walnuts, soybeans)

Four times higher in vitamin E then feed lot cattle

Grass fed and especially Fleckvieh Cattle are higher in conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) a nutrient associated with lower cancer risk

"Hanging weight" is the weight of a side of beef as it hangs on the rail in a meat cooler.

Some sides of beef are fatter than other sides of beef. Because excess fat is removed during cutting, carcass fatness will affect how much take-home meat a side of beef will yield.

We sell our beef by the pound by hanging weight - average side is 300-350 lbs.  We will deliver the animal to Jerome Market.  We will invoice you when we have the hanging weight.  You will be responsible for ordering your cuts ,packaging sizes and paying for processing directly to Jerome Market when you pick-up your meat from them.
